My Story
Unlike my parents, I have lived in the United States for my whole life. However, with both my grandparents and parents being immigrants from Vietnam, I understand the difficulty and struggle of seeking refuge from war and violence in a new country. I even travelled to Vietnam twice, and got to witness the struggles of many Vietnamese citizens firsthand. To avoid violence and bloodshed, my parents escaped Vietnam and moved here, opening up newer and brighter opportunities for a better future for our family. I believe anyone from all walks of life should have the same opportunities as us, and I will strive to do my part as a board member of VAYR to help out refugees in need.
